Austin Dacey of the International Humanist and Ethical Union takes a look at the question of stepping on taboo toes in international law.
From the Revealer:
It is my opinion that blasphemy is a right. The taboo is nothing more than a tool used by the powerful to keep the powerless down.
It is also my opinion that blasphemy is a duty, for all who can engage in it with little or no fear of retribution, to show a lack of respect and an active disrespect for taboos and the sacred in the cause of human rights of opinion and expression.
