The courthouse is no place for a Jesus Fish

(I just submitted the following comment on this article regarding a county monument displaying an icthus.)

The icthus is a well known symbol of a particular faith. Its placement on government property is a promotion of a particular faith by government.

When a government entity promotes a faith they send the message that those of different faiths or none are outsiders. The county was right to cover up the “Jesus Fish.” The editorial viewpoint here is spot on.
